Description

The transforming power systems landscape requires better tools for modeling and optimization. Developing and improving such software requires data. This dataset contributes to the existing space of scientific data for power systems modeling by suggesting two properties that were not included in datasets until now. First, the dataset goes beyond the conventional moderate grid perturbations from the magnitude viewpoint and perturbs loads and generation on the order of hundreds and thousands of MW in a single bus. Second, it includes changes to the grid topology, through reconductoring to the existing lines and construction of new lines. The resulting dataset allows to test the new modeling and simulation tools in more demanding and more realistic conditions.
